Pet R&D Coordinator
Weaver Brands is seeking a detail-oriented and creative Pet R&D Coordinator to support the development and launch of innovative pet products across our growing pet portfolio, including Rex Specs, Terrain D.O.G., and Weaver Pet. In this hands-on role, you’ll help bring new ideas from concept to market by supporting product development, coordinating testing programs, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing details, working across teams, and being directly involved in how products are designed, tested, and improved.
The job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Support the product development process from initial concept through launch, with a focus on organization, timelines, and follow-through
- Assist with creative development, including new patterns, colorways, materials, and design updates for pet gear and accessories
- Coordinate product testing programs by selecting testers, managing timelines, collecting feedback, and summarizing results
- Manage multiple development projects simultaneously, tracking milestones and ensuring cross-functional alignment
- Serve as a day-to-day liaison between Product, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Operations, and Customer Care
- Organize and maintain product information, development documentation, and feedback records
- Support product launches by providing features, benefits, and testing insights to Marketing and Sales teams
- Assist with product training materials and internal education for Sales and Customer Care
- Track product feedback and identify opportunities for product improvements or updates over time
- Help coordinate branded product samples and promotional items used for marketing and training
Our Ideal Applicant
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Design, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Early career experience in product development, R&D, project coordination, or a related role (including internships or co-ops).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines
- Creative mindset with interest in product design, patterns, materials, and real-world product use.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with product tracking tools is a plus.
- Able to work on-site at our Mt. Hope, OH headquarters; some travel may be required.
