Business Development Representative

Weaver Brands is looking for a Business Development Representative to help identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across the industries we serve.

This role serves as one of the first points of contact for prospective customers, introducing them to Weaver Brands while building relationships, uncovering customer needs, and creating opportunities for long-term growth. Through phone calls, email outreach, social media engagement, trade events, and other lead generation activities, this individual will play an important role in expanding our customer base, and supporting the continued growth of our brands.

The job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities through outbound calling, email outreach, social media engagement, referrals, and other lead generation activities.
  • Research and identify prospective customers within target markets and industries.
  • Re-engage inactive or declining accounts and identify opportunities to grow existing customer relationships.
  • Qualify leads by understanding customer needs, business challenges, and purchasing potential.
  • Schedule meetings and product discussions for Sales Representatives, National Account Managers, and other sales team members.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers and opportunities using CRM and sales tracking tools.
  • Follow up on marketing campaigns, trade show leads, website inquiries, and other sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to support customer acquisition and growth initiatives.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities.
  • Participate in trade shows, customer events, and industry activities as needed.
  • Meet or exceed activity, lead generation, and performance goals established by leadership.

Our ideal applicant:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Agriculture, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, customer service, account management, recruiting, or lead generation preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence initiating conversations and developing new business opportunities.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve goals and deliver results.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable with proactive customer outreach and prospecting activities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Experience in agricultural, livestock, equine, pet, manufacturing, or related industries is a plus.
